Overview
Dnyan Manthan (ज्ञान मन्थन) follows a double-blind peer review process to ensure the academic quality, originality, and relevance of published research. In this process, the identity of both the reviewers and the authors is kept confidential to maintain impartiality and integrity.
This policy complies with academic standards recognized by UGC CARE, and adheres to ethical practices in scholarly publishing.
Review Process

Step 1: Initial Screening
All submissions undergo preliminary screening by the editorial team to check:
- Adherence to submission guidelines
- Relevance to the journal's aim and scope
- Language quality and originality (plagiarism check using standard tools)

Step 2: Double-Blind Peer Review
If the article passes initial screening, it is sent to two or more expert reviewers in the relevant field. The review process includes evaluation on:
- Scholarly merit and conceptual clarity
- Originality and contribution to knowledge
- Methodology and references
- Clarity of arguments and structure
- Relevance to Bhāratīya Jñāna Paramparā and contemporary issues
Reviewers submit a structured evaluation form with a recommendation:
- Accept
- Accept with minor revisions
- Revise and resubmit (major revisions)
- Reject
Step 3: Author Revisions
Authors are given an opportunity to revise their manuscript based on reviewer feedback. A revised version must include a response note addressing each point raised by the reviewers.

Step 4: Final Decision
The editorial board makes the final decision based on the reviewers' recommendations and the quality of the revised manuscript. The decision will be:
- Accepted for publication
- Conditionally accepted (pending minor revisions)
- Rejected
Reviewer Selection and Ethics
- Reviewers are selected based on subject expertise and academic standing.
- All reviewers are required to declare conflicts of interest and maintain confidentiality.
- The journal discourages any form of bias, plagiarism, or academic misconduct.
Turnaround Time
- Initial screening: Within 7-10 days of submission.
- Peer review process: 3 to 5 weeks.
- Final decision: Within 6 to 8 weeks of submission.
Plagiarism Policy
All submissions are checked for plagiarism using reliable software. Articles with more than 10% similarity (excluding references and common phrases) may be rejected or sent back for correction.
Language Policy
Articles are accepted in English, Hindi (हिन्दी), Marathi (मराठी), and Sanskrit (संस्कृत). Reviewers are assigned accordingly.
