Dnyan Manthan: Churning of Traditional Wisdom

The Multidisciplinary International Journal

We welcome original, unpublished research papers, review articles, and conceptual papers aligned with the aim and scope of the journal, focusing on the Bhāratīya Jñāna Paramparā (भारतीय ज्ञान परंपरा) and its relevance to contemporary academic and societal issues.

Author Eligibility

  • The journal accepts submissions from academicians, researchers, independent scholars, postgraduate and doctoral students, and subject experts from India and abroad.
  • Interdisciplinary collaborations and co-authored papers are encouraged.
  • Authors must demonstrate sound academic background and relevant subject knowledge.

Single & Dual Authorship - Special Instructions

  • For single-author submissions:
    • Ensure that the author profile includes academic qualification, current affiliation, and ORCID (if available).
    • The declaration of originality must be signed solely by the author.
  • For two-author submissions:
    • Clearly indicate the corresponding author.
    • Include full details (affiliation, email, bio, and ORCID if available) for both authors.
    • The declaration of originality must be jointly signed by both authors.
    • Authorship should reflect substantial contribution from both parties. Note: For more than two authors, all names and contributions must be justified (in the submission email or as a separate note, if required).

Publication Frequency

  • Biannual (Two issues per year)
    • Issue 1: January-June
    • Issue 2: July-December

  • English
  • हिंदी (Hindī)
  • मराठी (Marāṭhī)
  • संस्कृत (Saṁskṛta)

Authors must ensure proper linguistic and grammatical quality in their chosen language.

Manuscript Format

Please follow the formatting instructions carefully to avoid rejection at the initial screening.
  1. Length
    • Research/Review Articles: 3000-7000 words
    • Book Reviews: 1000-2000 words
  2. File Format
    • Submit in .doc or .docx format (MS Word) only.
    • Use Unicode fonts for Hindi (Mangal), Marathi (Mangal), and Sanskrit (Sanskrit 2003 or similar).
  3. Page Layout
    • Font: Times New Roman (English), Mangal (Hindi/Marathi), Sanskrit 2003 (Sanskrit)
    • Font Size: 12 pt
    • Line Spacing: 1.5
    • Margins: 1 inch on all sides
    • Alignment: Justified
  4. Structure of the Manuscript
    1. 1. Title (in English + original language if applicable)
    2. 2. Author(s) Name with affiliation, email, and ORCID (if available)
    3. 3. Abstract (150-250 words) in English + original language (if not English)
    4. 4. Keywords (4-6)
    5. 5. Main Body (with appropriate headings and subheadings)
    6. 6. References (APA 7th edition or IAST for Sanskrit studies)
  5. Plagiarism
    • Manuscripts must be original.
    • Plagiarism above 10% (excluding references) will lead to automatic rejection.
  6. Submission Procedure
    1. Email your manuscript to: submission.dnyanmanthan@dnyanpath.org (example - replace with actual)
    2. Attach:
      • Manuscript (.doc/.docx)
      • Declaration of originality (signed by all authors)
      • Author bio (50-100 words each)
      • Plagiarism report (optional but recommended)
    3. The subject line of your email should be: "Submission - [Author Name] - [Language] - [Title]
  7. Declaration of Originality (Required)

    Authors must certify that:

    • The article is original and has not been published or submitted elsewhere.
    • All sources have been properly cited.
    • There is no conflict of interest.
  8. Publication Charges (If any - optional section)

    If your journal plans to charge:

    • There may be a nominal processing/publication fee after acceptance.
    • Fee details will be communicated upon acceptance.
    • No fee is charged at the time of submission.
  9. Copyright and Licensing
    • Authors retain copyright.
    • By submitting, authors grant the journal non-exclusive rights to publish and distribute the work.
    • All published works will be under Creative Commons (CC BY-NC) unless stated otherwise.

Dnyan Manthan (ज्ञान मन्थन) is a multilingual, peer-reviewed, international academic journal committed to reviving and reinterpreting the timeless essence of Bhāratīya Dnyān Paramparā (भारतीय ज्ञान परंपरा - Indian Knowledge Tradition) in the light of modern challenges.
